Luigi Russolo was an Italian #Futurist #painter#composer and regarded as the first noise #artist. In 1913, he published the manifesto, The Art of Noises, which was considered to be one of the most important and influential texts in 20th century musical aesthetics. He designed and created a noise-generating devices called Intonarumori. Intonarumori had destroyed in World War II, however, the concept proposed by Russolo were indirect effected avant-garde and #electronic #music.
