Raicho Hiratsuka was a Japanese #writer, thinker and Japanese #feminist. She founded Japan's first all-women #literary magazine, Seito(Bluestocking), and the declaration “In the beginning, woman was the sun” was regarded as a symbol of women's rights movement. Raicho Hiratsuka's thought was inspired by Swedish feminist writer Ellen Key, and translated her works into Japanese. She fight for the rights of women from Taisho to Showa, after the Second World War, she participated in the anti-war and peace movement mainly.
